Track your caffeine with WaterMinder App

Have you heard of a water reminder app that tracks your caffeine too? The WaterMinder app helps you track your water intake and other kinds of liquid intake. It has added the option of tracking caffeine intake and helping you consume it in limited quantities.

Based on the user’s profile information, the app will calculate a recommended daily caffeine limit. This limit can be customized according to their preferences or health goals. As the user logs their caffeine intake, the app will track the total consumption for the day and display it prominently. Here is a step by step guide on how you can track your caffeine intake in the WaterMinder app-

Enable Caffeine Tracking in WaterMinder app

Step 1- Choose other drinks from settings screen

To track your caffeine intake, you can choose the “Other Drinks” option in the settings screen.

Step 2- Caffeine Tracking Option

Turn on the “Caffeine Tracking” option

Step 3- Give permission to log caffeine content in Apple Health app

Give the permission to the WaterMinder App to track your caffeine values in apple health app

Step 4- Check the caffeine intake limit intake suggested by the app

After the caffeine tracking option is turned on, it will suggest the coffee consumption limit as per USDA dietary guidelines.

Log and Track Caffeine

Enter your coffee intake values

Step 1: Here, click on Other Drinks(Hamburger Menu) button in the home screen

Step 2: Now select the “coffee” option from the “Other Drinks” menu

Step 3: After adding the coffee intake, it will reflect in the history as shown in the screen below

Step 4: You can also log value of caffeine content directly

Create personalized cup with the caffeine content

WaterMinder App gives you an option of creating customized cup as shown in the images below-

Step1: Create a new cup and select the field Caffeine. When you tap on that row, it will show actions for either entering a manual caffeine value or choosing from database sources.

Step 2: When you select the option ‘Choose from source’, it will show the options that contains caffeine content and the standard calculated values as shown in the screen under

Step 3: When you select the “All” option from the “By Category” menu, it will show a wide range of options.

Step 4: For reference, let’s choose 7 eleven brewed coffee. The following screen will appear-

It will ask for confirmation of the caffeine value for the entered cup size.

Step 5: After the confirmation,you will be redirected to the “Add cup” screen and you can create a cup by tapping on the “Add” button.

Once the cup is created, you will see it when you tap on the add button on the home screen. When you select the cup, it will enter the caffeine content according to the selected value for that cup.

After you select the cup, the caffeine intake logs will reflect in the history screen as shown in the screen below-
